Morning Juice – US Session Prep

Morning, Traders!
It is Friday the 27th of December, here are some things to look out for today.

Sentiment
US equity futures declined following Thursday’s lacklustre session on Wall Street, but European stocks moved up in subdued holiday trade as the year comes to an end.

The 10-year Treasury yield was around a seven-month high, while the dollar index rose, putting it on track for its best year since 2015.

The S&P 500 finished flat on Thursday, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 dipped 0.1% in a calm post-holiday day as conflicting unemployment claims data did little to change views on the Federal Reserve’s policy stance.
With the economy remaining resilient, investors are concerned that Trump’s initiatives, which could include tariffs and tax cuts, would fuel price increases, leading the central bank to adopt a more hawkish approach.
