Asian Stocks Advance on Tech’s Rebound Ahead of Fed – Asia Market Wrap

Asian equities and European equity futures climbed, following Wall Street’s tech-led recovery from a selloff that rattled global markets, as attention shifts to the Fed’s rate decision and US mega-cap earnings.

Japanese, Australian, and Indian stocks climbed. Most other large markets in the region are closed for the Lunar New Year vacation. US contracts were steady as the S&P 500 jumped 0.9% and the Nasdaq 100 advanced 1.6% on Tuesday, with Nvidia rallying 8.9% following the greatest one-day value drop in history.

Shares recovered following a bad start to the week, driven by fears about the low-cost AI model from Chinese start-up Deepseek. Beginning Wednesday, the focus will move to the Fed’s decision and Big Tech results.

US equities recovered on Tuesday after tech stocks fell the day before on concerns that large US corporations had invested too much money into creating AI, given DeepSeek’s low-cost strategy.
