Morning Juice – US Session Prep
Good morning, Traders!
It is Tuesday the 4th of February, here are some things to look out for today.
Sentiment
US stock futures fell, indicating a third day of losses for the S&P 500, as investors fretted about the economic consequences of tariffs. The dollar fell, and bond yields rose.
S&P 500 futures dropped, and European stocks fell.
The moves were relatively muted, given China’s measured response to US tariffs and a last-minute reprieve for Canada and Mexico.
Nonetheless, the dollar index fell as some traders expressed relief that the worst-case scenario appeared to be avoided.
Traders are also waiting for earnings reports from major corporations, including Google parent Alphabet & chip giant AMD, as well as data on US factory and durable-goods orders.
