Fed Chair Powell said the central bank does not need to rush to change interest rates, indicating that officials will be cautious before further cutting borrowing costs.
Oil prices stabilised after an industry data showed a significant increase in US oil stocks, as the market braced for fresh trade salvos from Trump.
Australia is “killing” the US aluminium market, a senior trade adviser to Trump claimed, potentially undermining PM Albanese’s efforts to gain an exemption from tariffs that come into fruition next month.
