President Donald Trump said he plans to limit exceptions to his tariff push, the latest cryptic hint about a planned April 2 announcement of reciprocal duties on global trading partners US tariffs on copper imports could be coming within several weeks, months earlier than the deadline for a decision, according to people familiar with the matter. Copper traded in New York rose to a record. President Donald Trump said it was possible that Vladimir Putin was avoiding finalizing a ceasefire agreement, but that he remained confident the Russian leader intended to strike a deal. The US said Russia and Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire in the Black Sea, even as the Kremlin said its involvement would depend on a series of preconditions, including sanctions relief. Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves has pledged £2 billion ($2.6 billion) of funding for social and affordable homes, in a move that could appease members of her Labour party who are unhappy about sweeping cuts in other areas of government spending.
