Sentiment
Secretary of State Marco Rubio defended the Trump administration’s push to expel foreign citizens who have protested Israel’s military campaign in the Gaza Strip and said he may have revoked more than 300 visas so far. The US is pushing to control all major future infrastructure and mineral investments in Ukraine, potentially gaining a veto over any role for Kyiv’s other allies and undermining its bid for European Union membership. Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada will fight back against President Donald Trump’s trade war and his tariffs on the auto sector, but he did not outline any new retaliatory measures against the US on Thursday.
