Morning Juice – Europe Session Prep

Good Morning Traders.
It is Tuesday the 13th of May. Here is what to look out for today.

Sentiment
The yen and Swiss franc rose after selling off on easing US-China trade tensions, as investors sought more details on the temporary truce. US President Donald Trump said China had agreed to remove nontariff barriers to US imports as he announced a deescalation of his trade war with Beijing, suggesting even greater concessions could be in store if talks progress. Bank of Japan board members signaled their intention for further rate hikes while citing the need to stay vigilant due the potential economic impacts from US tariff measures, according to a summary of opinions from their April 30-May 1 meeting. Australian business conditions eased in April as profitability weakened, forward orders slipped and firms’ spending plans took a hit, boosting the case for the Reserve Bank to cut interest rates to support the economy.
