Morning Juice – US Session Prep (5th August)

Sentiment
The most recent tariff threats bolstered the dollar, while the yen and Swiss franc trailed all G10 peers. The dollar rose against most of its peers, reversing some of its underperformance since Friday. Treasuries inched lower across the curve.

Switzerland’s President Keller-Sutter and Economy Minister Parmelin will travel to the US on Tuesday to put forward a more attractive trade offer in a bid to lower a 39% tariff imposed by the US.
