Morning Juice – Europe Session Prep

Good Morning Traders.
It is Wednesday the 1st of October. Here is what to look out for today.

Sentiment
The US government hurtled toward a Wednesday shutdown as Democrats blocked a Republican stopgap funding package that didn’t address their demands, the latest sign that neither party was likely to fold in the final hours before a federal funding deadline. Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President Lorie Logan said policymakers should be cautious in considering additional interest-rate reductions while inflation remains above target and the labor market relatively balanced. Global trading of the Chinese yuan has surged to $817 billion a day, extending a decade-long trend with volumes nearing those of the British pound, according to the Bank for International Settlements. The White House pulled the nomination of EJ Antoni to lead the Bureau of Labor Statistics, throwing the leadership of the critical data agency into further disarray after President Donald Trump fired the former commissioner. Confidence among Japan’s large manufacturers improved for a second straight quarter, supporting the case for the Bank of Japan to raise interest rates as early as this month.
