Morning Juice – Europe Session Prep

Good Morning Traders.
It is Thursday the 11th of December. Here is what to look out for today.

Sentiment
Australia’s economy unexpectedly shed jobs in November and fewer people sought work, suggesting a gradual loosening in the labor market that may allow the Reserve Bank to extend an interest-rate pause. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell downplayed dissenting votes against Wednesday’s decision to lower interest rates again, but a slew of finer details from the meeting revealed just how divided the central bank has become. The Federal Reserve said it will begin buying $40 billion of Treasury bills per month starting Friday, in a move to ease short term funding costs by rebuilding reserves in the financial system. Japan’s 20-year government bond auction drew its strongest demand since 2020. The bid-to-cover ratio was at 4.1 compared with 3.28 at the last auction and a 12-month average of 3.28. The tail was at 0.03 vs 0.31 for prior sale.
