Earlier in the session, yields on 30-Yr bonds climbed to their highest level since early September, as rising optimism about the US economic outlook reduced demand for safe-haven assets.
Nasdaq 100 futures climbed 1.1% on a wave of AI-related news from Asia that lifted the regional index to its strongest start to a year since 2012.
Gold and silver advanced as trading in 2026 got underway, extending gains after their strongest annual performances since 1979.
