Treasuries rose alongside European bonds after German retail sales unexpectedly declined in November. The yield on the 10-year Treasury fell three basis points to 4.15%, while the dollar was little changed.

Trump said Venezuela would hand over as much as 50 million barrels of oil to the US, valued at roughly $2.8 billion at current market prices, adding that the cargoes would be sold with the proceeds benefiting both countries.
