Morning Juice – US Session Prep (24th February)

Sentiment
S&P 500 futures lost 0.3% of their gains. The benchmark plummeted 1% the previous session after Citrini Research published a paper outlining probable AI-fueled structural disruptions. Nasdaq 100 contracts rose 0.2%, while AMD surged 11% in premarket trading after signing a data-centre equipment deal with Meta.
The so-called AI Scare trade has emerged as a major trend in stock markets, with selling spreading beyond software to insurance brokers, private credit, and even real estate. The flight is one of several developments taking place beneath the surface of a US market that will remain mostly unchanged in 2026 after years of technological improvements.
Traders are also dealing with a number of other issues, including trade uncertainties and rising tensions between the United States and Iran. Tuesday’s focus will be on President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address, as well as consumer statistics, which fell to its lowest level since 2014. Meanwhile, Anthropic PBC will demonstrate their artificial intelligence enterprise agents.
