Morning Juice – Europe Session Prep
Good Morning Traders.
It is Thursday, the 9th of April. Here is what to look out for today.
Sentiment
Israel launched its greatest assault on Lebanon since the beginning of its invasion, escalating the battle against Iran-backed Hezbollah despite the US announcement of a cease-fire in the larger Middle East conflict.
Oil prices rose after the greatest one-day loss since April 2020, as the Strait of Hormuz remained mostly shut and Israeli assaults on Lebanon threatened to undermine the Middle East’s fragile ceasefire.
The US is considering removing sanctions on Venezuela’s central bank to enable the flow of billions of dollars into the country’s damaged economy, according to sources familiar with the situation.
Hedge funds are betting on currency options that the South Korean won and Chinese yuan will increase as risk sentiment improves and oil prices fall following the US-Iran ceasefire.
