As Day Two of the AI-Led Rebound Begins, Stocks Rise – Europe Market Wrap

Global equities advanced for a second consecutive session as renewed strength in the AI trade and easing geopolitical tensions boosted risk appetite.

Nasdaq 100 futures rose 0.8%, led by gains in semiconductor stocks including Marvell Technology and Micron Technology. S&P 500 futures added 0.5%, while Europe’s Stoxx 600 climbed 0.6% as investors rotated back into growth and tech shares.

Oil prices fell after signs of de-escalation in the Middle East. Brent crude slid 2% toward $92/bbl after Israel and Iran agreed to halt recent retaliatory attacks, while Trump reiterated that a US-Iran peace agreement was close. Lower energy prices helped ease inflation concerns and supported broader market sentiment.

The Dollar weakened for a second straight session as traders reduced expectations for additional Fed tightening. Treasuries edged higher, with yields modestly lower. Indonesia’s central bank unexpectedly raised its benchmark interest rate in an effort to stabilize the rupiah and reverse recent market weakness.

Gold held near $4,330/oz but remained well below its January peak above $5,400/oz. The precious metal has lost momentum as geopolitical risks have subsided and expectations for US monetary policy have shifted away from aggressive easing.
