Morning Juice – US Session Prep
Good Morning Traders!
It is Monday 12th of February, here are some things to look out for ahead of today’s session.
Sentiment
Treasuries, the dollar, and US stock futures are little changed Monday ahead of three scheduled Fed speeches later and inflation numbers Tuesday. Most Asian markets are closed for the Lunar New Year holiday. Money markets expect 111 basis points of Fed rate cuts this year, with the first 25 basis points fully priced by June.
The US currency has eased from a 2 1/2-month high hit a week ago. FX strategists at UniCredit see the risk that it may stumble further against the euro and the pound if this week’s US economic data suggest slowing inflation and demand.
