Nvidia Sparks Stock Rally, Japan Hits Record – Asia Market Wrap

Asian markets rose alongside US stock futures after Nvidia’s higher-than-expected sales estimate fueled the AI-led rise in global stocks.

Japanese equities soared, with the Nikkei 225 Index breaking a record intraday high set in 1989, boosted by increases in technology firms and chip manufacturers. South Korean stocks increased, while Chinese benchmarks climbed. The gains pushed a measure of Asian stocks to its highest level in nearly two years.

US stock futures rose in Asian trading on Nvidia’s findings. The internet company’s shares rose as much as 11% in post-market trading when it said that first-quarter revenue will likely be $24 billion, exceeding previous projections of $22 billion.
