Morning Juice – Europe Session Prep

Good Morning Traders! This Monday we get a quiet session with a handful of central bank speakers and UK CBI data.

Here is the sentiment for the day.

European Union finance ministers are arguing over possibilities to consolidate the regulation of national capital markets, as the bloc is aiming to bring the disparate systems closer together to promote private investment for priorities such as the green transition or defence

According to Ria Novosti, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov stated that negotiations with Chinese colleagues at the end of last year raised the possibility of the government borrowing in yuan.

So far, China’s local governments appear unwilling or unable to borrow more despite pressure to spur growth, stoking expectations. Beijing may pick up the slack and take on further debt.

Ministers will be asked to eliminate barriers and accelerate decisions to boost investment in the UK at the maiden meeting of a cross-government panel led by Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt.

Oil slipped down after a weeklong loss as traders expected a new set of hints about global crude demand and balances in March and beyond.

Bond investors enter this week with rates across the curve barely off their year-to-date highs, bracing for the impact of significant Treasury and corporate issuance amid month-end positioning.
