Mary Daly, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, stated that while recent inflation data has been “really good,” the central bank has yet to attain price stability.

Japan’s inflation increased for the second month in June, leaving the door open for central bank policymakers to contemplate hiking interest rates when they meet to decide policy at the end of the month.

In May, Chinese investors sold a record amount of US securities, including stocks and bonds, as diplomatic tensions between the world’s two economies remained high.
