Morning Juice – Europe Session Prep

Good Morning Traders
It is Monday the 23rd September, here is what to expect for the day.

Sentiment

Just after slashing one of its short-term policy rates, China announced preparations for a rare briefing on the economy by three senior financial regulators, igniting suspicion that policymakers are getting ready to step up measures to spur growth.

According to persons familiar with the situation, the Federal Reserve penalised the bank for its data management and risk controls, which put a stop to Citi’s expansion strategy in China.

The left-wing Greens party asked that the government compel the central bank to lower interest rates, which was a severe setback to Australian Treasurer Jim Chalmers’ ambitions to restructure the Reserve Bank.

The far-right Alternative for Germany was repelled by Olaf Scholz’s Social Democrats, who appear determined to hold onto power in the eastern state of Brandenburg, sparing the chancellor and his party from yet another humiliating electoral defeat.
