After seeing its largest one-day increase in over a year, oil prices stabilised amidst worries that Israel would choose to attack Iranian oil facilities as payback for a missile bombardment earlier this week.
Over a dozen Hezbollah sites in Beirut were struck by Israel on Thursday, the country reported, as the Group of Seven warned against an unchecked cycle of escalation in the Middle East.
President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Austan Goolsbee reaffirmed the need for interest rates to drop “a lot” over the course of the next year.
