President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Raphael Bostic stated that the US central bank must weigh competing risks when determining the pace of further interest rate reductions in the upcoming months.

In order to maintain the health of the US economy, policymakers lowering interest rates should proceed cautiously and based on evidence, according to Federal Reserve Bank of Boston President Susan Collins.

If Donald Trump is reelected as US president, Europe’s economy may experience much slower growth and higher inflation. Joachim Nagel of the European Central Bank Governing Council issued a warning.

The central bank of New Zealand lowered interest rates by 0.5 percentage points, quickening the rate of easing as authorities grew increasingly concerned about the slowdown in the economy.

According to Philip Jefferson, vice chair of the Federal Reserve, the risks to the central bank’s employment and inflation targets are now almost equal.
