Morning Juice – US Session Prep

Good Morning Traders.
It is Wednesday the 9th of October. Here is what to look out for today.

Sentiment
US stock futures were subdued ahead of a key inflation report later this week. Shares of Google parent Alphabet dropped in premarket on news that the US is considering a breakup of one of the world’s biggest tech firms. Google parent Alphabet fell about 1.3%, with the US Justice Department considering asking a federal judge to force Google to sell off parts of its business. Among other notable premarket movers, Boeing dropped after negotiations to end an almost month-long strike collapsed. A recovery in US stocks has slowed following the selloff over the summer as investors weigh the outlook for economic growth and interest rates. A strong jobs report last week assuaged worries about an imminent recession.
