Morning Juice – US Session Prep
Morning, Traders!
It is Monday the 28th of October, here are some things to look out for today.
Keep in mind that the EU, CH and the UK experienced a daylight savings time shift over the weekend, so some releases may not come out at their regularly scheduled times if you are based in those areas.
Sentiment
Markets reacted with relief after Israel’s retaliatory strikes against Iran avoided oil facilities, with crude falling and US stock futures rising at the start of what looks to be a pivotal week for investors.
Iran stated that its oil industry was operating normally following Israel’s attacks on military targets throughout the country.
This eased geopolitical tensions as markets prepare for a week of key economic data and corporate earnings.
Among them are results from five of the “Magnificent Seven” big-tech behemoths, as well as eurozone and US economic growth figures and a monthly payrolls report.
Then there’s the presidential election on November 5, with markets increasingly predicting a stock-boosting victory for Donald Trump and the Republicans.
The Yen plummeted after Japan’s ruling coalition failed to obtain a parliamentary majority, fuelling fears that political instability might make the central bank less aggressive.
