Morning Juice – US Session Prep
Morning, Traders!
It is Tuesday the 7th of January, here are some things to look out for today.
Sentiment
The dollar fell for a third day in the longest streak since November, underperformed only slightly by the Japanese yen among Group-of-10 peers. Treasuries slipped ahead of US ISM Services, JOLTs figures and a 10-year note sale. US stock-index futures were muted after two days of gains for the benchmark indexes, as investor attention turned to a slate of employment data due this week, including the key payrolls report. The rally in US stocks lost momentum in December amid concerns that there would be fewer interest-rate cuts from the Federal Reserve than expected in 2025. Investors are also awaiting clarity on trade policies as Donald Trump returns to the White House.
