Morning Juice – US Session Prep

Good Morning, Traders!
It is Friday the 17th of January. Here is what to look out for today.

Sentiment
US stocks were set to rise this morning as the resurgence in fed rate cut bets pushed US government bond yields lower.

Contracts on the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 rose, with the index looking to post its biggest weekly gain since the November election.
Inflation data this week, alongside comments from Fed officials, have implied that the US central bank may have room to reduce US rates further this year.

Swps markets now expect around 40 bps of Fed easing this year, which is up from its positions earlier this week, which were barely even considering a single quarter-point cut.
