Morning Juice – Europe Session Prep
Good Morning Traders! This Thursday we get financial stability reports for the ECB and BoE.
Here is what to expect for the day.
Sentiment
The yen extended gains in Asian trading on Thursday after gaining 1% overnight, as traders cranked up expectations that the Federal Reserve will soften monetary policy this year on indications of US inflation pressures receding.
Last month, Australian unemployment increased more than predicted as a larger-than-usual cohort of individuals found themselves in-between jobs, clouding the signal from labour market data.
Japan’s economy fell in the first quarter as consumers and businesses curtailed spending, prolonging a dismal performance that dates back to last summer and complicating the picture for the central bank as it considers the timing of its next interest rate rise.
The US Bureau of Labour Statistics stated that it accidentally posted Consumer Price Index data 30 minutes early on Wednesday.
Shares of Chinese developers surged on hopes that Beijing may give regulatory support for the acquisition of unsold houses from struggling builders.
