Morning Juice – US Session Prep
Morning, Traders!
It is Monday the 17th of June, here are some things to look out for today.
Sentiment
Global stocks and bonds remained under pressure, giving up most of the early gains triggered by French far-right leader Marine le Pen’s promise to respect political institutions if she wins the upcoming snap parliamentary election.
Contracts for the S&P 500 fell alongside those for the Stoxx 600 index across Europe.
France’s Cac 40 benchmark lost all of its initial 1% gain to trade lower. Euro-area bond yields rose, with France’s yield premium over Germany remaining near its widest in years.
The euro was slightly firmer against the dollar after falling nearly 1% last week.
