US stock futures rose as a recovery in Big Tech appeared to continue Friday, thanks to Netflix results that exceeded Wall Street’s expectations.

Contracts on the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 rose as Netflix surged 6% in US premarket trading. The streaming service outperformed expectations in key metrics, including subscriber growth in the third quarter.

Treasuries recovered from heavy selling after a slew of strong US economic data on Thursday recast expectations for interest-rate cuts. Stronger-than-expected retail sales demonstrated how consumer spending continues to drive the American economy.
