Morning Juice – US Session Prep
Morning, Traders!
It is Tuesday the 5th of November, the day that marks the start of the US election, a much anticipated event for America, and the markets.
Here are some things to look out for today.
Sentiment
US equity futures rose as voting began on Tuesday in a close presidential race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
Traders are being cautious following one of the most turbulent and dramatic presidential campaigns in modern history.
With polls predicting a photo-finish, the possibility of a disputed result means that the vote count could take days, if not weeks.
US stock futures increased slightly.
The dollar held steady.
10-year Treasury yields rose around two basis points to 4.30%.
